Intersolar North America 2026 — A Strong Finish in San Diego

Image
As we wrap up three incredible days at Intersolar & Energy Storage North America 2026, we leave San Diego with gratitude, insights, and renewed momentum. Over the past few days, our directors Ratan Singh and Ajay Goel had the opportunity to engage with EPC leaders, installers, developers, and technology partners from across the industry. From Day 1 introductions to deeper Day 2 discussions and strategic conversations on Day 3, the dialogue consistently centered around one theme: Scaling solar the right way. Key Takeaways from ISNA 2026: 🔹 Growing demand for faster, permit-ready design turnaround 🔹 Increased focus on engineering accuracy and compliance 🔹 Strong emphasis on workflow efficiency to support scaling 🔹 Rising interest in long-term, dependable design partnerships What stood out most was the industry’s clear shift toward structured growth — companies are not just expanding volume, but strengthening foundations. Quality, precision, and reliability are no longer opt...

Accelerating Approvals: How Cloud-Based Permit Submission Platforms Are Transforming Solar Permit Design

The solar industry is evolving rapidly, and one of the most significant shifts I’ve seen as a solar permit design expert is the widespread adoption of cloud-based permit submission platforms. As more jurisdictions move toward digital plan review and online approvals, solar services companies are modernizing their workflows to stay competitive. What was once a paper-heavy, time-consuming process is now becoming streamlined, transparent, and significantly faster through cloud technology. The Digital Shift in Solar Permit Design Traditionally, Solar Permit Design involved printed plan sets, manual signatures, physical submissions, and extended back-and-forth communication with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Delays were common due to incomplete documentation, outdated revisions, or miscommunication between design teams and permitting offices. Today, many cities and counties require or strongly encourage online submissions through dedicated portals. Cloud-based platforms allow...
